You got diagnosed with PCOS and your doctor tells you to just “lose weight”…

You google ways to lose the weight and you just end up starting a new diet.

Portion control, skipping meals, guilty indulgences, overeating, intermittent fasting, paleo, keto, calorie counting, ignoring hunger cues… 

There are just too many diets out there and way too many directions they can pull you.

At the base of most diets, you’ll find:

  • A list of dogmatic rules you need to follow

  • A described “straight line” trajectory that is misleading

  • A “one size fits all” attitude that doesn’t account for your specific type of PCOS!

  • The idea that if you’re not getting results, you’re doing something wrong

One day you read an article saying fats are good. The next, the headline says: fats are bad. (Seriously: is coconut oil healthy? Or isn’t it?)  This especially gets tricky if you are battling with PCOS or hormonal issues - what the HECK is healthy for hormones?! 

Oh, which reminds me: here’s another list of nonsense you’ll find in most diets:

  • A glorification of some foods and total condemnation of others

  • Feelings of GUILT and SHAME

  • There’s tons of talk about foods, portion, nutrition…but nothing about YOU girl!


Lots of people—and, unfortunately, us women with PCOS who are just trying to be healthy, happy, and feel beautiful— feel trapped in a spider web, unable to free ourselves.

Every strand of the web comes from a completely different direction. Some people tell you that KETO is the answer to PCOS? Others say that you just need to watch your carbs? What the heck is the right answer? 

Each strand of this spider web you are stuck in is a diet that gives you opposite, contrary advice; from differing opinions, articles, research papers, experts, backgrounds, or whatever else, entirely.

Regardless of where each strand comes from, you feel you’re trapped at the center of all of them: you can’t move. You don’t know which one is right.

In the meantime, you feel stuck being unhappy in your own body! Not only are the PCOS symptoms driving your crazy, but now you cannot find a healthy relationship with food! 

The longer you struggle trying all these diets that supposedly help PCOS,  the more you feel the doom of never feeling better about yourself getting closer…

…and closer.


BUT HERE’S THE THING. 

I’m here to tell you that NONE of these diets are right. Diets do not WORK with PCOS.

Yes, you heard me right—the reason why you’re stuck? All these diets are, yes, a SPIDER WEB. 

They’re not designed to help you— they’re designed to TRAP you!
